Job Title: Principal Engineer - Mechanical Engineering

Salary: £43,373 - £55,000 Depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the design of a system within the SSNA platform
- Demonstrating compliance with defined criteria and standards for the current maturity level
- Developing and maturing requirements and interfaces
- Engagement with the supply chain to collaboratively define solutions
- Manage the work of junior staff members to support system delivery as needed
- Experience of applying systems engineering principles to the development of mechanical design
Your skills and experiences:
- Qualified to degree level in related engineering field - Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience in a design environment for a complex product
- Proven history of delivering quality engineering output
- Chartered Engineer or working towards

SSN AUKUS is the latest submarine design under development at BAE Systems and for the first time in history is a tri-national endeavour which brings new opportunities.
