About the Role:

As a Project Manager you will be working in our social housing background, providing a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.

A Project Manager in our Islington branch you will be part of a local team supporting high standard Project Management activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class customer service and  satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards. Manage the day-to-day operational delivery of planned work/s contract and all associated staff and ensuring contractual KPI's targets are achieved and maintained.

  • Responsibility for all aspects of day to day activities on one or more capital works / programme schemes, ensuring project/s completed on time, within budget and to service user and client satisfaction.
  • Produce, monitor & manager work flows, programmes and scope of works, ensuring target dates are met.          
  • Manage designated budgets in accordance with business priorities and procurement protocols, working with Senior Contracts Manager to achieve commercial goals relating to budgets, targets, objectives and client KPI's and ensure the effective management and deployment of available resources. Manage all designated budgets in accordance with the priorities of the business and in line with the financial and procurement regulations
  • Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of Health &
  • Safety requirements and keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies.
  • Ensure compliancy and adherence to, but not limited to, health & safety regulations, CDM, Mears standard operating procedures & values, quality assurance accreditations and demonstrate, maintain and monitor the
  • company's commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of & good working practices relevant to all work activities.
  • Establish a strong working relationship with client, service users and local community, managing client expectation, attending meetings where required, and assisting in business development activities and preparation of bids.
  • Manage & mentor sub contractors, customer care & site management teams and provide good management of employees' performance, ensuring HR Policies & Procedures are followed.
  • Undertake any other duties as required by the company, provide back up to other Project Managers to cover any absences and attend informal and formal company & client meetings and training sessions as required.

Role Criteria:

  • MCM or contract management system competency.
  • proven track record of internal/external refurbishment & regeneration works.
  • Project management experience across multiple locations and high volume schemes.
  • Managing, monitoring, recording and reporting of Health & Safety and compliance.
  • Experience of managing sub-contractors.
