Sodexo have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our busy team in Aberdeen supporting multiple contracts across the UK.
As a Quantity Surveyor - Hard FM for Sodexo in Aberdeen, your focus will be on providing quantity surveying services and delivery of Hard FM engineering project works. You will manage commercial risks associated with costs and the agreed form of contract, setting out any identifiable risks, sharing with our management team and allocating appropriate Risk owners.
We are looking for someone with a history of construction related experience who can support our Energy and Resources segment in a professional manner, aiding decision making, cost management and governance.

Main Responsibilities
What you'll do:
- Hard FM and engineering project Quantity Surveying
- Review project requests, analyse information and support with end-to-end cost management duties, including feasibility estimates, value engineering and cost control.
- Support with Contract Administration duties, including interim valuations, variation / change control procedures, final account preparation and issuing of all required certificates under the Contract.
- Preparation of tender and contract documents such as bills of quantities.
- Negotiate with Contractors and Clients around project costs.
- Liaising with clients, end users, accounts, operations and senior team colleagues.
- Ensure strict adherence to process and governance.
- Ensure works meet all legal and compliance standards.

The Ideal Candidate
What you bring
- Attention to detail.
- Degree level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in construction / maintenance environment
- Supply chain management
- Ability to keep focus on day-to-day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer-term opportunities.
- Experienced in managing budgets and project finance.
- Experience in administering JCT and NEC3/4 forms of Contract.
- Influencing people and negotiation
- Customer services experience and the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Present and always provide professional service.
- IT skills using Microsoft Office applications.
