A Moody's Analytics Solution Specialist is a client-facing product expert who interprets customer needs in order to align their objectives and business requirements with Moody's Analytics products' capabilities and value. This responsibility is accomplished by rigorously researching all relevant details regarding the Moody's solution you are assigned to, understanding market place trends, conducting live product demonstrations via web or in-person, and by providing relevant collateral to support sales strategies.

Working in conjunction with a frontline sales team, this Solution Specialist position will actively manage the product evaluation stage of prospective clients for Moody's Analytics generative artificial intelligence Research Assistant product. The Solution Specialist will serve as a technical advisor for Research Assistant and be expected to understand the technology that makes Gen AI possible, the corpus of Moody's research and data encoded in the model, and the use cases thereof.

Solutions Specialists are responsible for understanding customer needs with regards to credit risk analysis including the role and purpose of Moody's ratings in the capital markets and the methodologies used by Moody's for its credit ratings. This position will rely heavily on effective communication and social skills that are necessary to prepare, present, and successfully promote the sale of Moody's credit research solutions. As an expert in Moody's Analytics credit research content, you will assist with customer facing demonstrations, proposals, and sales cycles by clearly articulating product benefits, functionality, and the potential to improve customer efficiency. You will also be responsible for interfacing with product managers, developers, and client service teams in order to transmit feedback between customers and product designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand prevailing trends and best practices in generative artificial intelligence.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding Moody's role in the capital markets in multiple asset classes including, but not limited to corporate, financial institution, municipal, sovereign, and structured finance.
  • Conduct in-depth presentations and demonstrations related to Moody's Analytics Research Assistant product offerings.
  • Participate in customer facing meetings to determine customer business requirements and align selling strategies.
  • Gain customer acceptance of Moody's Analytics products by explaining and/or demonstrating product capabilities and benefits.
  • Work closely with the frontline sales team on proposals, Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) responses.
  • Document market feedback regarding product experience and desired enhancements and communicate these findings to the product management and development team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Banking, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis, or capital markets experience.
  • Strategic and analytical individual who is able to recognize market opportunities.
  • Understanding of fundamental credit analysis.
  • Understanding of generative artificial intelligence.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to listen to requirements and business problems in order to respond with the appropriate business answer.
  • Fluency in English is essential, French and/or German would be advantageous inclusive of other European languages.
  • Comfort working in a high-pressure deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a structured team environment.
  • Experience with complex sales cycles is a plus.
  • Experience with modeling or coding is a plus.
  • Public speaking experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
