Job title: Senior Design Engineer

Location: Glascoed

Salary: £53,928

What you'll be doing:

  • Provision of design schemes at concept stages and detailed final design of product components
  • Production of full engineered drawings and schedules from either 3D models, 2D CAD generated data or manual techniques in support of site engineering programmes
  • Liaising with Design Authorities, Technical Authorities and Product Managers to support their product design requirements
  • Involvement with the Design Review process
  • Creation and maintenance of Engineering bill of material (EBOM) structures
  • Work checking through appropriate DO check and sign-off procedures
  • Approval of drawings in line with relevant procedures and British Standards BS8888

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous experience of working in a product design area and the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the BMS procedures
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Design/HND/HNC
  • CAD, 2d/3d modelling
  • Line management experience
