East Riding of Yorkshire council is looking to appoint a Senior Engineer to join their busy Civil Engineering Team.

About the role
You will be working closely with a team of talented and experienced engineers, both in the office and remotely from home or a project site office. Supporting senior staff, you will provide design input and technical knowledge for a wide range of highway infrastructure projects from inception through to completion. This will include projects such as, road design, junction improvements and cycle way design schemes
Requirements:
- Educated to HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.
- Post qualification experience in design experience in the civil engineering sector.
- Excellent report writing, communication and numerical skills required.
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, with a minimum of 2 years' experience. A working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D would be advantageous but not essential.
- A working knowledge of the New Engineering Contract.
- A working knowledge of CDM regulations.
- A working knowledge of Project Management Principals.
The council will also support you in improving your skill set further and gaining professional registration with the help of the other experienced members within the office, there is always room for improvement for a motivated individual.

You will be customer-focused in your regular dealings with the public, Internal/external contractors, Consultants and other government bodies as well as maintaining good working relationships within the team and with colleagues across our organization.
