Job title: Senior Engineer (Resilience)

What you'll be doing:

  • Support the Resilience Team to establish, implement & assure policy, principles and standards to enable the delivery of a holistic organisational resilience programme
  • Deliver the forward-facing activities to anticipate and assess the risk of emergencies to the organisation, aligning to the activities identified within the National Occupational Standard (NOS); Anticipate and address risk or emergencies (SFJCCAB1)
  • Collects and analyses qualitative and quantitative data to support the identification of trends, to identify strengths and deploy improvements, where necessary
  • Provide coaching and guidance on the completion if the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) process
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning and delivery of organisational resilience
  • Ensure the appropriate management of our resilience stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation
  • Communicate and support the promotion of business continuity management throughout the organisation through an effective engagement strategy
  • As directed by Resilience Leadership, attend and undertake all identified and specific tasking, training and development as required for the role

Your skills and experiences:

  • Good understanding of training and exercising emergency and business continuity arrangements within large organisations, to be able to support implantation & evaluation of appropriate Organisational Resilience
  • Take responsibility for own performance and development, including any team members
  • Ability to apply problem solving techniques to routine situations, or situations of moderate complexity under limited supervision, in the field of Organisational Resilience, taking requirements through effective communication with stakeholders and customers, to successfully deliver emergency and continuity arrangements in a timely manner
  • Educated to Certificate/Diploma level (or equivalent) in a related discipline (RQF Level 3 or above)
