Job title: Senior Engineer - Support Engineering (Training Services)

What you'll be doing:

  • Analyse and deliver submarine data to support the requirements of the submarine training community
  • Assist in the review and assessment of In-Service and Build changes in relation to submarine training
  • Conduct Training Design to the Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT) Quality Management Standards (QMS) Joint Service Publication (JSP) 822
  • Assist in the conduct of Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to the DSAT QMS (JSP) 822 standards

Your skills and experience:

Essential

  • Understanding of the skills and underpinning knowledge of DSAT or equivalent, compliant deliverable outputs
  • Experienced in production of training design deliverables
  • Ability to analyse and extract relevant data from technical documents
  • Experience in report/document writing
  • Good relationship management with peers and customers

Desirable

  • Completion of DSAT (or equivalent) training courses in: Training Design and Training Needs Analysis
  • Broad understanding of the Royal Navy Submarine Service

The Training Services team:

You will provide subject matter technical expertise to produce training design material for the Royal Navy submarine service and BAES business units. The duties of the role will require initiative and skill in discharging the training tasks whilst offering guidance in a positive manner utilising professional training skillsets to produce consistent, quality, and coherent training outputs.
