We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of skilled Senior ICT Support Officers. 

The End User Compute team provides technical support, advice and information on a wide range of hardware and software applications.

The role works across Staffordshire County Council and the ICT community. It is primarily responsible for the provision of second line support, providing efficient problem resolution, advice and support for customers dealing with user applications and devices including associated peripherals. You will make use of corporate standards, best practice and established industrial standards in order to achieve the objectives of the unit.

Main Responsibilities

As an Senior ICT Support Officer, you will be: 

  • Providing 2nd line support for SCC customers throughout Staffordshire and beyond.
  • Thinking on your feet and solving issues.
  • Acting as coaches for our Service Desk staff.
  • Proving excellent customer service at all times.
The Ideal Candidate

You should have excellent technical ICT knowledge, to include PC hardware, mobiles and tablets, a wide range of software including Operating Systems, Office 365,  Active Directory and Active Directory Azure.

You should have exceptional communication and customer care skills and experience of working in a support environment is essential.
