Job title: Senior Operations Technician - Site Maintenance

Location: Barrow-in-Furness

Salary: Competitive in line with experience

What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for the diagnostics, maintenance and repair of a number of electrical/ technical equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, Cranes and remote control technology
  • Liaising with external suppliers and contractors for materials and parts associated with both planned and reactive maintenance
  • You will work safely at all times following Health, Safety and environmental policies and legislation
  • Working alongside high voltage infrastructure under senior authorised persons

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • HNC in Electrical or relevant electrical/technical experience
  • Experience working with and interrogating PLC's
  • Experience of electronic testing, fault finding and repair
  • Understanding of Technical Drawings and Manufacturing Instructions
  • Maintenance background in an industrial environment

Desirable:

  • Experience in machine maintenance, CNC machines e.g. mills and lathes etc
  • Previous experience working alongside high voltage infrastructure
  • Experience of maintaining and repairs to building management systems

The Site & Facilities Team:

Working alongside a multi trade maintenance team, including technicians, electricians, mill wrights, plumber & joiners, you will be focusing on electrical aspects of maintenance in heavy engineering. This is a challenging and exciting role with fantastic opportunity for growth and development.
