Job Description

Permanent contract | full-time 37 hours per week | £26,421 to £28,770 per annum (Grade F) | Norwich

At Norfolk County Council, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and young people. Our SEND & Alternative Provision Sufficiency and Strategy Service plays a pivotal role in ensuring that children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the support to enable them to FLOURISH.

We are seeking a highly skilled and well organised individual to join us as a Service Support Manager, where you will be at the heart of our ambitions to enhance educational opportunities for children across Norfolk.

This vital role is part of the service’s Senior Leadership Team and provides essential support functions to enable the service to operate effectively. In this post, you will have a key role in linking with other parts of the department and NCC Corporate Services to ensure that the service operates in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. You will also take a lead in core areas of business operations for example, Business Continuity planning.

We are looking for someone with highly tuned administrative and project support skills, including use of Office software, and who is passionate about working as part of a service to improve the life chances of children and young people.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of school place planning and vital provision for children with additional educational needs with substantial new investment into new schools and specialist provision under our Local First Inclusion strategy. You’ll work closely with the Assistant Director and senior leadership team, analysing, planning, and successfully delivering local education provision that will directly impact the lives of our young learners.
