Futureworks is looking for talented, motivated people to join our team of Skills Advisers delivering the Shared Prosperity Fund Skills Futures' project.

We have opportunities for those who have experience of teaching, training, assessing and/or quality assurance of vocational qualifications. The project focuses on key priority employment sectors for Pembrokeshire, we are looking for people with training experience in the following vocational areas: Engineering/Energy Sector; Landbased/Heritage; Construction and Digital Skills.

Please state in your application which vocational areas you are interested in delivering. The project is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund with funding currently running to 31/12/2024. As a Skills Adviser you will work with people of all ages and support businesses to skill candidates to enter the workforce and support people in work with low or no skills to upskill and stay in or progress in work.

Ideally, you will hold relevant vocational qualifications to NVQ Level 3/4 or above, hold vocational Assessor's award or be willing to work towards, have direct training experience, knowledge of accrediting learners in the work place, and the ability to manage your own caseload. You will need to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of qualifications in line with contractual/grant conditions and awarding body requirements.

Experience of working with local employers and supporting learners in the workplace would be an advantage. You will deliver on a hybrid basis, from our learning centres across Pembrokeshire, at employer's premises or in community settings, and some digital delivery.

Whilst these roles will involve working mostly Monday to Friday, there may be a requirement for some evenings and weekends working to meet the needs of project beneficiaries and business needs.

Local Government Employees on National Joint Council (NJC) terms are subject to national pay bargaining; all salaries currently stated in our adverts are as 01/04/2022. The 2023 pay award is pending.
