Statutory Compliance Technician  
  

Salary & Benefits(5a): £29,814 up to £37,241 depending on experience + a company car scheme + up to 10% pension with 5% contribution + annual bonus + retail savings schemes + online GP access + life assurance cover + free on-site parking + 25 days holiday + 1 wellbeing day + bank holidays 


Location: Yorkshire region based, regular regional travel, hybrid working, 2 days in the office or on site per week.


Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Statutory Compliance Technician to join the Contracted Maintenance Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in: 
As our Statutory Compliance Technician you will; 

    Coordinate and supervise as required statutory inspection contractors to accomplish statutory inspections on YWS assets in a safe, timely & efficient manner.
    Ensure timely notification and resolution of defects found with operational teams, maintenance teams and specialist subcontractors through use of work management systems.
    Carry out day to day administration of contracts including contract payments and management of operational relationships.
    Attend contract meetings to ensure adherence to KPI's & SLAs as agreed.  Provide challenge to the contractor for areas of non-conformity.
    Work with supply chain, engineering and operational teams to optimise and innovate contracts and contractor performance.
    Undertaking of auditing of contractors and site compliance. 
 
  
What skills & qualifications you will need: 

    Experience of monitoring compliance, service, value and quality KPIs
    Confident in the use of different IT systems: SAP, Microsoft packages, etc.
    Develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
    Ability to work confidently as part of a team or as an individual.
    Experience of interrogating asset data analyse and interpret this to produce reports and trend analysis.
    Excellent personal standards of health and safety and confident in challenging others to perform at the correct standard.
    Current valid driving licence 
 
 
You will also benefit from having: 
 
    Previous experience gained within the water or waste water sectors or within the broader utilities, process or manufacturing industry.
    Previous experience in contract management of statutory or specialist contracts.
    IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate qualification
    Knowledge of ACoP L8, PUWER, LOLER and COSHH regulations.  
 
 
We embrace a flexible working model, where our hybrid setup typically requires an average of 2 in the office / on site per week. This could be slightly more when collaborative efforts, training or meeting deadlines demand it. For those who prefer to work on-site, our office is open Monday-Friday during working hours.
