Contract Type:  Full Time

 

Location: Homebased (With frequent travel throughout the Southwest)

 

Working Hours:  37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday

 

 

Could you be our next Sustainability Advisor working across the Southwest?

 

 

You will be assisting the Sustainability Manager on the Southwest Built Estate contract with the delivery of sustainable solutions to ensure work activities of employees and contractors do not have an impact on the environment. This role will see you providing support and advice for the implementation of VIVO's sustainability plans and programs.

 

 

Your key responsibilities will include;

 

  • Helping the Sustainability Manager with the development and maintenance of a fully compliant Environmental Management System
  • Assisting with providing technical support on environmental issues and sustainability innovation in construction
  • Completing investigations and producing reports
  • Liaising with client, end user and regulators
  • Working with project teams to prescribe and support the delivery of sustainability support
  • Assisting the Sustainability Manager with responding to significant environmental incidents on site

 

 

What you'll need to do this role  

 

Previous experience in an Environmental or Sustainability role.

 

Awareness of current and relevant Environmental legislation.

 

Knowledge and appreciation of Environmental Management Systems.

 

Good communication and presentation skills.

 

Be able to demonstrate an understanding of at least one area of Ecology and Conservation, Waste Management, Contaminated Land or Sustainable Procurement.

 

Experience in Data Analysis and Report Writing.

 

A good level of skill in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

 

A Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Management, Sustainability or associated discipline.

 

You will be working towards becoming a Member of the Institute of Environmental Management (IEMA).

 

You will be working towards a level as a Environmental Auditor.

 

 

You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.

 

You must have a full UK Driving Licence as there will be frequent travel throughout the Southwest to support the teams and activities of the business

 

You must be a British National to be considered for this role.
