Job Description

Recruiting tomorrows Army today

You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Physical Training Instructors, Assessors, and Interviewers to deliver the activities as part of the assessment process for the British Army.

You will oversee your team in guiding and nurturing candidates through the assessment process in an unbiased, friendly and controlled environment, ensuring candidates receive the best experience and leave their assessment, no matter the outcome, feeling their British Army assessment has been conducted fairly and was enjoyable

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the Centre Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the Assessment Centre
  • Managing a team with responsibility for rotas, development, reviews and training
  • Quality checking your teams output
  • Communicating business priorities, updates and information
  • Setting clear and realistic performance objectives, including behavioural standards.
  • Motivating and developing your team in an inclusive environment, whilst celebrating team and individual success

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in leading/managing a team
  • IT Literate, MS Office
  • Personable with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Flexible approach to change, encouraging the same in team
  • Passion for excellent Customer Service
  • Collaborative team player; leads by example
  • Must be able to work 1 weekend a month - time given back in lieu
