Warehouse Operative

Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative on our Templecombe site. Reporting to a Team Leader, working for a highly regarded company within the defence industry. The individual will be expected to demonstrate flexibility and capability to perform all aspects of warehousing to meet all key performance indicators and exceed customer expectations. 

Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance

Day to Day  

  • Ensure conduct and behaviour to be compliant with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guidelines 
  • Work in a team environment  
  • Operate customer & Wincanton IT systems as required 
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately 
  • A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site 
  • Undertake all training necessary to fulfil the requirement of flexibility to enable presence within any required areas of the warehouse 
  • To undertake such additional duties as may be reasonably required for the effective role 
  • Ensure time and attendance within Company set standards 
  • Be available for call out work as part of an existing team 
  • Flexibility - overtime requirements 
  • Ensure that any issues are escalated to management 
  • Carry out operational tasks as requested in order to achieve departmental and site objectives  
  • React to change due to operational and client requirements and carrying out duties in a professional and timely fashion  
  • Ensure the correct handling of all client products is carried out at all stages within the facility  
  • Complete all relevant documentation as required in order to provide a quality service to our client and, therefore, contributing to greater operational efficiency

What will you bring?

  • Ideally experienced and licensed in use of MHE

  • All appointments are made subject to receipt of satisfactory references covering a five year period, provision of eligibility to work documentation and where a contract requires security and anti-terrorist checks.
