Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Water Quality Scientist to work hybrid out of our Clearwater Court, Reading office. Within this role, you will be part of a wider Water Quality Standards team, where you will be managing regulatory notices from the Drinking Water Inspectorate.
What you’ll be doing as a Water Quality Scientist
  • You will support the Regulatory Commitments Manager in managing the Drinking Water Inspectorate reporting requirements relating to enforcement Notices. (annual updates milestone reporting, etc.)
  • You will support in negotiating the terms with internal stakeholders in advance for regulatory submission.
  • You may be expected to participate in an out-of-hours rota when it's needed to provide emergency technical advice relating to water quality issues. (likely to be on a 1 week 6 working pattern)
  • You will take the lead on preparing our water quality customer contact submissions to the Drinking Water Inspectorate.
  • Base Location: Clearwater Court, Reading.
What you should bring to the role
  • Have a sound comprehension of drinking water quality regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant industry experience within the field of water quality.
  • Be degree-qualified in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • A full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
