Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We 1^st Security Solutions Ltd will endeavour in our business dealings to uphold the key principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, which are: 

• no member of the Armed Forces Community should face disadvantage in the provision of public and commercial services compared to any other citizen;
• in some circumstances special treatment may be appropriate especially for the injured or bereaved.

1^st Security Solutions Ltd recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans, and military families bring to our business. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by: 

• promoting the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation.
• seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old and working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers wishing to join the security and safety industry.
• striving to support the employment of Service spouses and partners.
• endeavouring to offer a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
• seeking to support our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible.
• offering support to our local cadet units, either in our local community or in local schools, where possible.
• aiming to actively participate in Armed Forces Day.
• offering a discount to members of the Armed Forces Community on training and other services offered.

We will publicise these commitments through our literature and/or on our website, setting out how we will seek to honour them and inviting feedback from the Service community and our customers on how we are doing.

About us

Based in Doncaster, 1st Security provides SIA Approved security services to meet a wide range of facility’s needs. From the management of receptions and night patrols to static gatehouse guarding, event stewards / door supervisors, store detectives, post room management and site porterage. 1st Security also keeps people and property safe around the clock at leisure and business parks, primarily for the Yorkshire region, but reaching all over the UK. 1st Security Services national coverage is supported by our head office in Doncaster South Yorkshire and management offices in Wigan, Wolverhampton, Cambridge, and Middlesbrough.

1st Security attributes its success to people. Our goal is to consistently provide well-trained and motivated manpower to meet the security needs of clients and provide additional solutions to address other non-core support requirements at reasonable cost. We pride ourselves in our ability to use and transfer the skills which our employees learned in the Armed Forces and with this in mind signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant in 2020.
