Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
AACE was founded by a RAF Veteran and has consistently sought and employed veterans from all Services to provide Subject Matter Expert resources into Defence and Defence facing Industry. As part of this commitment AACE has fully engaged and participated in a variety of Service-leaver organisations, events and activities including CTP, OA and RAJA resulting in a high percentage of veterans being employed. The company has specific policies to support veterans, reserves, CAFV and forces families and offers a mentoring, advice and transitional support service to service leavers where possible.
AACE takes its responsibility as an AFC ERS member very seriously and upholds its values throughout its operations and contracting with other organisations. AACE fully supports the CAVF/Reserves with currently one active Reservist who has a senior position within a local Military Intelligence Battalion and recently deployed to the USA with his unit. AACE chooses a different forces charity each year and has in the past supported RBL, SSAFA, BLESMA, Combat Stress and Help4Heroes to name a few.
About us
AACE was founded by former RAF officer Rick Hussey in 1996 to provide specialist engineering consultancy services into the MOD. Since then the business has grown into the AACE Group, consisting of three companies. AACE provides specialist technical services across air, land and maritime environments, both into the MOD and industry. Allyance is a technical recruitment company placing skilled individuals on temporary and permanent roles across government departments and into industry; while Clearwater is a managed IT services company specialising in providing IT and security support into businesses working within defence.
The group is still owned by the Hussey family, who continue to promote the family ethos and values on which it was founded. The majority of employees come from a military background, and with that comes an incredible work ethic and quiet determination, with talented individuals working as part of a team to get the job done, no matter what. The value of the military culture that is instilled within AACE, is one of the core strengths of the company.
