Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Advocacy Focus is committed to assisting forces family members in their pursuit of meaningful employment. Having veterans in our team, we recognise the unique challenges forces families may encounter and are dedicated to providing resources and support to help their entry or re-entry into the workplace. We are also well equipped to support their wider health and wellbeing during this process. Our commitment extends but is not limited to, promoting career growth; offering fully flexible work arrangements; additional benefits such as 'life leave' or time to honour their reserve or volunteer commitments.  All in an attempt to recognise and accommodate their unique lifestyles. Our holistic offer and support ensure that forces family members have the tools and guidance they need to build fulfilling careers, contribute their talents in the workplace and maintain the important balance between their personal and professional lives.

About us

Our advocacy team and advocacy related services help people in the community who have difficulty communicating their thoughts, needs and wishes in health and social care matters. They may also face difficulties when it comes to making decisions about their care and treatment needs, such as where they will live or who they want to be involved in their care. Advocacy helps people to understand their rights, options, and enables people to make informed decisions, whilst ensuring that their best interests are being upheld in a person-led way. We help people to live the lives they want to live, providing free, high quality advocacy support, that is completely independent of Health and Social Care services.  Advocacy Focus helps every person to know and understand that they are the experts in their own lives and should rightfully be in control of every decision being made about how to live it.
