Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

AmeyBriggs is proud to work in partnership with the UK Armed Forces in delivering the MITER Contract. It has pledged to support current and former members of the Royal Navy, the British Army and the Royal Air Force by signing up to the Armed Forces Covenant.

AmeyBriggs is committed to honouring the courage and commitment of those who protect the UK by treating Regulars and Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, veterans and their families with fairness and respect. We will ensure that service personnel are treated fairly and, in certain circumstances, to give them special consideration. AmeyBriggs will support the employment of veterans, service spouses and partners. The company has promised to be flexible, granting leave to spouses and partners of serving personnel and will lend its support to employees who join the Reserve forces by accommodating their training requirements and deployment.

AmeyBriggs is proud to employ Whole Force Approach Personnel, who join the Army Reserve as part of their employment, and are part of the One Army Team.

About us

The MITER contract service provider is AmeyBriggs, a joint venture between Amey and Briggs.  It is a 7 year, £240m contract which supports the Ministry of Defence in training and operations worldwide, by providing a capability to meet the full range of construction and lift requirements of contingent operations.  This includes, but is not limited to, earthmoving, construction and specialist plant, cranes and mechanical handling capabilities required to undertake tasks in the UK, on operations and for training worldwide.  The AmeyBriggs solution meet all of Defence requirements for training and operations, including:

  • Plant and rough terrain mechanical handling equipment
  • Protected Plant
  • Defence Mechanical Handling Equipment (DMHE).

AmeyBriggs developed an integrated (or Whole Force Approach) solution built upon the ethos of ONE TEAM to include DE&S, key MOD stakeholders, contract users and the AmeyBriggs joint venture and its supply chain partners.
