Ashfield District Council signed the Armed Forces Covenant and became an Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award recipient.

The Council grants paid leave of absence for employees who are either serving members of RF or Cadets Forces to attend training. RF Employees who are mobilised are entitled to remain a member of the pension scheme, and will continue to accrue continuous service, regardless of the duration of the mobilisation.

We are located near to the M1 and most of our sites are on a bus route or are within walking distance of a train station.
