Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
The Armed Forces Covenant is a government pledge to ensure that Armed Forces personnel are not disadvantaged by their service. By signing the Covenant, BAE Systems has made a series of commitments to support serving regular and reserve members of the armed forces, their families and veterans.
BAE Systems was one of the first companies to sign the Covenant in 2013 and has held Gold Award status continuously since the Employer Recognition Scheme was introduced in 2014.
BAE Systems’ Covenant pledges include:
1. Endeavouring to promote and provide employment opportunities for Service spouses and partners.
2. Adopting a sympathetic and flexible approach to requests for leave from Service spouses and partners before, during and post operational deployments.
3. Encouraging employees to volunteer and raise funds for Armed Forces charities through our UK Community Investment Strategy.
