Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Beacon Counselling seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:

  • Promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation including the wider members of the Armed Forces community such as partners, spouses, and family members, to our staff, service users, partners, suppliers, contractors and the wider public.
  • Supporting the employment of Service spouses and partners; partnering with the Forces Families Jobs Forum; and providing flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment.
  • Supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities and other relevant national days or events.
  • Supporting Armed Forces charities with fundraising and supporting staff who volunteer to assist.
  • We will advocate the needs of the Armed Forces community, and their families, offering services directly to family members as part of our service values and charitable purpose.
  • We publicise these commitments through our literature and/or on our website.
