Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Breedon Group plc signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2023 and was awarded Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze in the same year.
The company supports recruiting its employees into the Reserves and offers 10 days additional paid leave for reservist employees and Cadet Force Civilian Volunteers to attend training.
We actively support service leavers entering the business, our current reservists and those that have previously served. We show our commitment to this by participating in the Armed Forces Day and Reserve Forces Day events.
About us
Breedon is a leading vertically-integrated construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland, delivering essential products to the construction sector.
We hold 1bn tonnes of mineral reserves and resources with long reserve life, supplying value-added products and services, including specialty materials, surfacing and highway maintenance operations, to a broad range of customers through our extensive local network of quarries, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt plants.
We have two well-invested cement plants and are actively engaged in a number of carbon reduction practices, which include utilising alternative raw materials and lower carbon fuels.
Our 3,800 colleagues embody our commitment to ‘Make a Material Difference’ as we continue to execute our strategy to create sustainable value for all stakeholders, delivering growth through organic improvement and acquisition in the heavyside construction materials market.
