Caritas Legal Limited

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Promoting the fact that we are an armed forces friendly organisation with a specific area of our website committed to the Armed Forces Community with a Veteran as the point of contact for all enquiries. We seek to support the employment of Veterans, young and old, service spouses and partners. We endeavour to offer a degree of flexibility to service spouses and partners around deployment and support employees who wish to be members of the Reserves or CFAVs. We also participate in Armed Forces Day and offer a discount on our legal services to members of the Armed Forces Community as well as offering free legal clinics and presentations on our legal services to the Armed Forces Community. We also raise funds for Veterans Charities when we can – to date over £1,600 raised.

About us

Caritas Legal  was formed in 2011, and aims to be a modern and plain-speaking law firm which is part of the service that it has delivered in the last decade. Launched by managing director Lorna Brown, Caritas Legal handles a number of different legal issues for clients all over Scotland. We specialise in future planning in particular Wills and/or Power of Attorney; disputes in the family affecting spouses and partners, with or without children; organising a Guardianship arrangement if you have a relative with reduced capacity; and the winding up of a relative’s estate and assistance to executors and/or beneficiaries. Caritas Legal work hard to make legal advice more accessible to members of the public while shaking off the stereotypical image of a solicitor and also specialise in providing legal advice and services to the Armed Forces Community which includes Veterans, serving members of the Armed Forces and their families.
