Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant 

City Cabs have a long history of working with and supporting those who serve in the Armed Forces and their families. We aim to support the values of the Armed Forces Covenant in any way we can, including:

• We commit to providing free training to become a Taxi Driver in Edinburgh by way of paying all fees to the Edinburgh Taxi Academy school for spouses / partners of serving personnel. We also support prospective drivers through all the Council courses and actions that need taken to become a driver through our dedicated Fleet Manager.
• City Cabs guarantee to give an interview for any of our office based job openings to spouses / partners of serving personnel in the armed forces.
• We will look sympathetically on requests for leave before, during or after a partner’s deployment.

About us

City Cabs are Edinburgh’s longest running (1925) and largest Taxi fleet. We have over 450 vehicles in Edinburgh and our company is a fully driver owned cooperative. Taxis are an integral part of the communities we work in and City Cabs have many initiatives to support our community. We are a Silver Award holder for the Employer Recognition Scheme and offer 10 days paid leave to any reservist in our employment.
