Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
CVQO is committed to supporting the development of young people and adult volunteers within the MOD Cadet Forces. To date we have delivered more than 60,000 vocational qualifications to our learners and plan to help many more in the future.
We are a forces-friendly organisation. Many of our staff are current Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers or have been serving military personnel and we fully support their voluntary commitments by accommodating their training and development wherever possible.
CVQO strives to ensure our vocational qualifications bridge the gap between the Cadet Force and civilian sectors. This means our training provides a tangible record of the achievements of cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, putting them in the best possible position to achieve success on whichever path they choose to follow.
About us
CVQO is a UK education charity and learning provider. We work primarily with the MOD Cadet Forces to accredit the skills Cadets and Adult Volunteers develop with potentially life-changing vocational qualifications. Among others, we have strong partnerships with the Army Cadet Force, Sea Cadet Corps, RAF Air Cadets, Volunteer Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force.
We have developed a suite of progressive qualifications that are available to 13-18 year old cadets, however we also offer opportunities for Cadet Force Adult Volunteers. Our qualifications, accredited by Pearson BTEC, ILM and City & Guilds can be used to boost CVs, gain places in higher education or secure employment. At any one time we have around 12,000 active learners studying with us.
Thanks to our partnerships with the Department for Education and the MOD, CVQO qualifications are more often than not delivered at no cost to the learner. And where there is a registration fee, it’s generally heavily subsidised and much more affordable than studying with a commercial provider. This means our learners receive potentially life-changing opportunities from us, helping them achieve their career or further education goals.
