Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Derbyshire Constabulary is currently a Defence Employment Recognition Scheme Silver Award holder and is going for Gold in 2025! We have an Armed Forces Family Network that comprises veterans, reservists, cadet force adult volunteers, and spouses and parents of those serving. The network provides a voice for the mil/ex-mil community in the constabulary – we actively support our reservists who deploy on operations or exercise. The network also provides advice to those looking to join the constabulary. We work closely with other Armed Forces networks and charities in the county, region and nationally to ensure we identify, share and promote good practise.
About us
Policing in Derbyshire takes more than 3,500 people in a wide range of roles. Around half of these are police officers, but we also have a variety of police staff. From police community support officers to police staff and volunteers, we all play an equally important role in protecting the people of Derbyshire.
