Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
We aim to offer work placements and other opportunities for forces family members to increase their employability as well as actively promoting any job opportunities within our area to this audience (Faslane is the local base and Helensburgh and Dumbarton are key locations for forces families).
We also commit to being a flexible employer offering short-notice leave to those whose partners are sent on deployment; and working with the tri-Service Families Federations. In addition we promote flexible working practices including flexible hours and remote/hybrid working to support this group.
About us
The Dunbartonshire chamber is a membership organisation which promotes, represents and supports all kinds of business in both West Dunbartonshire and East Dunbartonshire. Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce offers business support, networking and a host of benefits included.
Our membership takes in a wide range of sectors and sizes ranging from sole trader start ups, social enterprises and public sector organisations to PLCs and some of the largest employers in the area.
Events are at the heart of what we do and our programme includes Networking, Knowledge Transfer, Showcase and Headline Events. We provide access to Business Mentoring and, in 2016, launched out Dunbartonshire Women In Business initiative. in 2019 we will be rolling out our International Trade Programme and expanding our successful Business Breakfast Clubs into more areas.
We can also help advise on funding, finance and training for business including the grants and loans available from our partner organisations. We can also put you in touch with essential service providers from within our membership.
