Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Energise Me has updated our policies that support members of the Armed Forces Community to apply for both paid or voluntary roles with the organisation knowing we are a welcoming, inclusive and flexible organisation to work for.
We will ensure that future job roles are published on sites recommended such as this one and other relevant sites. Energise Me can signpost members of the Armed Forces and their families to local networks within Hampshire and IOW that will support them and provide opportunities to connect and support one another and the wider community using physical activity.
Energise Me will endeavour to invite a member(s) of the Armed Forces community to become part of the We Can Be Active Champion network for Hampshire and the IOW. To be the voice of how Energise Me can support the Armed forces community and their families further and how they can promote Energise Me and the importance of Physical Activity within their communities.
About us
Energise Me is a charity that champions physical activity for all in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We are working hard to make it easier for everyone to move more. Our goal is to create a happier, healthier and stronger future for local people. We won’t rest until everyone has the confidence, support and opportunity to be active on their own terms.
Physical activity transforms lives. Our work is helping people to reduce their risk of major illnesses and depression. With your help, we are enabling communities to thrive. But we still have a long way to go.
We are one of 42 Active Partnerships who work with partners to create an active nation.
We purposefully tackle the things that prevent active lifestyles by being:
- Curious about what stops people from being active.
- Open to different ideas and perspectives.
- Creative in how we do things and who we work with.
- Bold in taking risks and speaking out about things that need to change.
