At Esken Renewables we’re incredibly proud to support the Armed Forces community and are recipients of the Gold award. We are fortunate to benefit from the experience of this community with reservists and veterans holding roles within the business including within our senior leadership team and Directors.
We advertise roles with CTP that directs candidates to our business site. During candidate onboarding we capture information relating to candidates current or previous service.
Each employee is encouraged to join our internal social media network, a group solely dedicated to the Armed Forces Community, allowing the forces family (reservist, veterans and families) to connect, engage and support one another.
We also actively engage with 611 Sqn, with the aim of forming a mutually beneficial partnership, sharing ideas, experiences and provide opportunities to bolster both profiles and engagement across the NW and beyond.

Esken Renewables is the UK’s number one supplier of biomass, last year suppling 1.7m tonnes of biomass fuel to biomass power plants across the UK.
We provide renewable fuel supply services to help our customers decarbonise the UK. Our core business is to supply biomass fuel, which we process from waste wood and by-products, and deliver it to a large number of power plants.

Our teams keep our operations running day in and out. They look after our business and our customers – so we do whatever we can to make working at Esken Renewables enjoyable and fulfilling for everyone.
With our market leading infrastructure and expertise, we develop solutions across the whole waste and recycling supply chain from collection to processing through to renewable fuel supply. We make sure the right fuel is delivered at the right time. We do this by sourcing waste wood, processing into fuel, till it’s needed whilst ensuring the quality of it and delivering it to the customer.
