Gloucester Hospitals recognises the contribution that Service personnel, and Armed Forces families make to our organisation, our community and to the country. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant by:

  • The Trust will Identify our Veteran and Armed Forces Family patients to ensure they receive appropriate care
  • Staff in the Trust will be trained and educated in the needs of the Armed Forces community
  • We will maintain a Veteran and Armed Forces Champion Team
  • We will establish links to appropriate Veteran and Armed Forces Community Services
  • We will refer Veterans and Armed Forces Community to other services as appropriate

  • The Trust will be registered with Forces Families Jobs and seek to recruit from Armed Forces families. 

About us

Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has 8000 employees providing acute hospital services from two large district general hospitals, Cheltenham General Hospital (CGH) and Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH). Maternity Services are also provided at Stroud Maternity Hospital. Outpatient clinics and some surgery services are provided by Trust staff from community hospitals throughout Gloucestershire. The Trust also provided services at the satellite oncology centre in Hereford County hospital.
