Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Hampshire Constabulary signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2017 and we remain committed to upholding this obligation. As part of this commitment, we revalidated our ERS Silver award in 2020 and have achieved Gold in 2022. We recognise that the skills and experience brought to our organisation by our armed forces communities are invaluable.
We have established an employee network group to improve our recruitment from military communities and to support those who join our organisation. This support is not only for our staff and officers but also for the families of those who serve. A bespoke team made up of 30 veterans’ champions, who have all received additional training tailored towards our military communities will assist the group. They are available for support, help and guidance as required.
