Harborough District Council

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

We are proud to have pledged our ongoing support for the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community, by signing the official Armed Forces Community Covenant.

We have a dedicated 'Armed Forces Officer' whose role it is to support the Armed Forces Community.  Our Armed Forces Officer helps to support serving members of the Armed Forces, reservists, veterans, or service families with access to healthcare; education and school placements; employment and training opportunities; access to housing and accommodation.

Our employment policies support reservists, service leavers, veterans, cadet force adult volunteers and military spouses / partners and we are working with our Armed Forces Officer to engage with our colleagues with military connections to support both our internal and external armed forces community.
