Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

By signing the Covenant, Heart & Soul Community CIC is reinforcing its commitment to support serving personnel, service leavers, veterans and their families by fostering relationships between business and the Armed Forces, and supporting employment opportunities for veterans, service spouses and partners. 

In supporting those who serve, have served, and their families, and the value they bring to our business, Heart & Soul Community CIC will seek to uphold the principles of the Covenant by: 

  • Promoting that it is a military friendly organisation;
  • Supporting veterans and allies through the Community;
  • Running Insight days to support the employment of service leavers; and
  • Encouraging the support of non-profit organisations who work with the military community.

About us

We will support all applicants in gaining skills that will support them in long term employability. Training will be provided including any relevant online courses to help develop the skills of the candidate. This will include on the job skills and training that could be transferable across sectors. These positions may result in a person gaining long term employment within the organisation, but they may also provide the skills and knowledge to gain opportunities elsewhere. We will look to support employees in all aspects of their role within the organisation, ensuring the commitment to attendance, timekeeping, working as part of a team, developing teamworking and communication skills, record keeping and report writing, creating and updating a CV, future job application support and interview skills and experience. Offering training that will be transferable to their desired roles, it is planned that during the placement, we will help with confidence building and character building. Those joining the scheme will have a wide range of training opportunities to help develop skills and expertise.
