Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Jon Egging Trust recognises the value Serving Personnel, Reservists, Veterans and Military Families bring to our business. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
Promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, customers beneficiaries, suppliers, contractors and wider public. We will also work with our volunteers from the three Services to offer inspiring experiences for young people facing barriers to learning, and in doing so, working to providing a bridge between the Armed Forces and the Communities in which they serve.
Supporting and advocating support for the employment of Service spouses and partners; partnering with the Forces Families support agencies; and providing flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment. In addition, we will advertise employment vacancies locally within JET’s partner stations publications.
About us
The Jon Egging Trust (JET) believes that through inspiration and support, every young person can overcome adversity, identify their strengths and be the best they can be.
JET supports young people who are facing significant life challenges or lack positive role models. We know that with the right support, and by building teamwork, leadership and communication skills and raising aspirations, JET can help them get back on track and realise their potential.
The Jon Egging Trust works with schools to identify students who would most benefit from our long-term, early intervention programmes. Our Blue Skies programmes empower young people to challenge themselves and re-engage with education to make informed career choices
At JET, teamwork is our magic ingredient; we invest in each other as teammates, support and raise each other up, value every skill and quirk – exactly as we do on our programmes with young people. You will be joining a people-centred, deeply motivated and uplifting group of colleagues who love and want to make a difference with their work.
