Leonardo

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Leonardo recognises the contribution that the members of the Armed Forces make to the nation through their service and has signed the Armed Forces Covenant, to pledge our support of the Armed Forces Community.

The company's commitment to the UK Armed Forces was recognised in 2018 when it received the MOD's Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award.

Our Armed Forces Network Group connects and supports our veterans, reservists and military family colleagues and communities. Additionally, it assists new employees as they transition from military to civilian life. For the wider Leonardo UK business, the group helps enhance our collective sense of pride in being part of UK and allied defence, through sharing stories from our veterans, reservists and military families.

About us

Leonardo is one of the UK's leading aerospace companies and one of biggest suppliers of defence and security equipment to the UK MOD.

From the Home of British Helicopters in Yeovil - where we develop and maintain helicopters flown by the British Army and Royal Navy - to our radar and sensor technology developed at our centre of excellence in Edinburgh; our technology helps to protect those that go in harm’s way and to secure the sites and networks that comprise the UK Critical National Infrastructure.

The company operates from eight main sites across the UK employing over 8,000 highly skilled people.

Our Culture

We are strongly committed to supporting our people, and, as times, people and society change, our approach to inclusion and diversity is continually evolving to reflect this.

We know that having a variety of people from different backgrounds, cultures and approaches can, and does, enhance our working environment. Such a workplace fosters mutual respect amongst colleagues and allows each individual to bring their whole self to work and perform at their best. A culture of inclusion goes on to create an environment for greater collaboration, innovation and opportunities to develop as an organisation.
