Mansfield District Council signed the Armed Forces Covenant and became an Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award recipient.

The Council grants paid leave of absence for employees who are either serving members of RF or Cadets Forces to attend training. RF Employees who are mobilised are entitled to remain a member of the pension scheme, and will continue to accrue continuous service, regardless of the duration of the mobilisation.

As one of the largest employers in the area, Mansfield District Council offers a wide range of services across the district including housing repairs, parks and green spaces, neighbourhood wardens, environmental health, planning and customer services to name just a few. We are located near to the M1 and most of our sites are on a bus route or are within walking distance of a train station.
