Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Marlborough Highways has a long and proud history of employing service leavers, veterans and their families, celebrating the valuable contribution that they have made to our community and wider society. Former military personnel are represented across the business, including front line operatives and senior members of the office-based team. Working with the Career Transition Partnership, we offer those colleagues the support and flexibility they need to flourish in their chosen role, while maintaining their relationship with the Armed Forces. In March 2022 we signed the Armed Forces Covenant as part our commitment to both active and former service personnel and their families. It is a pledge that the company acknowledges and understands that those who serve or who have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the community. Marlborough already enjoys Bronze award status with the Armed Forces Covenant and is currently working towards Silver award status.
About us
Our people are the cornerstone of our business. We have a stable pool of more than 500 qualified and multi-skilled people with well-established teams of Operatives, Specialists, Foremen, Project Managers, Directors, Executives and support staff. We’re committed to providing our people with new opportunities through education, training and development. Many of our senior management started their careers with us in junior positions, bringing invaluable ‘on the tools’ experience to projects. By developing and taking care of our people, we believe the result is teams who are more engaged, happier and productive. We continually invest in training, building skills and knowledge for a broad range of topics including safety at work policies, safety risk management, equipment and materials handling skills.
We work as one-team, where people can work collaboratively and honestly together to deliver the project management, communications and compliance skills for the benefit of our clients. We are proud to have a zero employment barrier policy and welcome job applications from the disabled, the long-term unemployed and priority groups.
