Mental Health Matters Wales

Description

Our commitment to the Armed Force Covenant

As a third sector mental health charity, our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant is rooted in our deep respect and appreciation for the sacrifices made by our service members and their families. We are committed to upholding the principles of the Covenant - which include treating service members, veterans, and their families with fairness and respect, and ensuring they receive the right support they deserve to thrive and succeed both during and after their military service.

Our commitments include:

1. Providing support for service members and their families through a range of mental health services.

2. Offering employment opportunities to service members and their families, ensuring their skills and experience are valued and utilised.

3. Participating in events and initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the needs of service members and their families and encouraging others in our community to support the Covenant.

4. Working in partnership with local organisations and charities to provide ongoing support to service members and their families, and to identify and address any gaps in services.

About us

MHM Wales is an independent, non-profit, and non-political charity which works with people who have a mental health related issue, other voluntary organisations and statutory services to promote mental well-being. We aim to ensure there is a comprehensive range of mental health services throughout Wales.

Our objective is to support people to make long-lasting changes in the areas of their lives that are currently not working for them. We aim to provide the best support to people affected by mental health, their families, and carers.
