Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

MKC Training is a Forces friendly employer and is responsible for the delivery of trade training to Royal Engineer officers and soldiers at the Royal School of Military Engineering at Chatham in Kent. With policies in place to accommodate Reservist and volunteering activities, MKC Trg is fully supportive of those individuals who have served and their families. Additional support is available to anyone who is mobilised as part of their service. Currently employing over 50 veterans, Reservists, spouses, partners and cadet volunteers, MKC Trg has values that are aligned to that of the military. Our veteran family community is fully embedded within the organisation and we have spouses and partners who are employed in a variety of roles. MKC Trg have links to the local communities and have organised health and wellness days for our staff with a focus on military service.

For these efforts, activities and levels of support, MKC Trg is proud to have been awarded the Employer Recognition Gold Award.

About us

MKC Training is a wholly owned subsidiary of MidKent College with a successful track record of supporting our customers and helping their businesses grow. As part of the Holdfast Training Services consortium, we continue to successfully deliver a 30 year contract with the Ministry of Defence. Our expertise and specialist capability underpins our work with the Royal School of Military Engineering where we design, manage, deliver and assure a wide range of high quality professional, technical and artisan training programmes for military engineers. Externally, we offer a wide range of professional courses to industrial partners and recognised qualifications from globally recognised certification providers.

At MKC Training we know that our people are at the source of our success. We support training providers and awarding organisations with a stimulating environment to achieve their goals. We provide a well established programme of Continued Personal Development and teaching staff are funded to gain a Level 5 teaching qualification.
