Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

Orbit is committed to the Armed Forces Covenant through multiple different streams. We currently employ reservists and support their training with paid leave and help them deploy when required. We house many families of forces personnel, and actively commit to sharing vacancies with the Armed Forces community and their families. In addition to this, Orbit has a working group who ensure that the Armed Forces Covenant is supported and engaged with by employees and the company as a whole.

About us

Orbit is a housing association with over 46,000 properties spanning across the Midlands, East and South of England providing affordable housing for a myriad of customers. Orbit is also a house builder with a range of developments across all of its regions.

Orbit was formed in 1967 with the aim of providing good-quality housing for people who would otherwise not be able to afford to buy their own home.

Over 50 years later, we’re one of the leading housing providers in the UK.  Our services have diversified, our housing portfolio has expanded, and our reputation as an innovator within our sector has grown.  But one thing that has never changed.  Our belief in people and what they can achieve.
