Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
We are proud to hold the Gold Award in the Armed Forces Covenant. Our Veteran Steering Group has been active since 2017 and our dedicated Veteran Champions’ work hard to develop services for local ex-military/military population.
The NHS offers great employment opportunities for those considering new career pathways. We recognise service leavers/veterans have a wealth of transferable skills and experience and can add value to our organisation. We are a recognised employer of UK Ex-Military Veterans, Reservists, their families/carers and pledge to work closer with the Step into Health programme, the MoD’s Career Transition Partnership and Forces Families Jobs to support the employment of service leavers and their families.
At Oxleas we encourage service leavers and military personnel to consider the Trust as an employer when they transition to civilian employment. We welcome applications from their families/carers.
About us
At Oxleas, we offer a wide range of health and social care services to people living in south east London and parts of Kent. This includes community health, care for people with learning difficulties and mental health care. Our multi-disciplinary teams look after people of all ages and we work in partnership with other parts of the NHS, local councils and the voluntary sector. Our values express our heart at Oxleas and are the lens we look through to guide our behaviours, how we act and how we work with our service users, patients, families, carers and colleagues and as an organisation we strive to ensure We’re Kind, We’re Fair, We Listen, We Care.
