About us

Penderels Trust supports adults and children with disabilities to live independently . We support people who are eligible for community care funding and can ask for a direct payment, we support to recruit a personal assistant,  support to use a care agency, managed accounts (where we hold the direct payment money on the individual’s behalf) and payroll services.  Our approach is to enable people to be as independent as they can be. We also provide payroll services to c. 7,500 direct payment employers who employ about 16,000 personal assistants between them.

We also provide appointeeship service, this is a financial support service for people who are unable to manage their own benefit money. This may be due to their own ill health e.g., mental health condition or their circumstance e.g. at risk of financial abuse.  We make sure all household bills are paid on time (rent, utilities, loan repayment etc) and that they have enough money for food and other essential items.
