About us

Petersfield Town Council operates within the parish of Petersfield.  The Council is the closest form of local government to the community operating with 12 elected councilors, with the entirety of its budget being spent on or for the benefit of the people of Petersfield.  The Council owns, maintains and administers most of the open spaces and recreation grounds in the town including children's play areas plus several community buildings including the Town & Festival Hall. The Council also manages and organises various events that take place in the Festival Hall and on the open spaces we own throughout the year.

Currently staffing is just over 20 positions.  These vary from office based staff roles, to grounds & sports pitch maintenance requiring the ability to use various types of equipment plus manual skills and knowledge, to Facilities Management and provision requiring various practical skills, to event management.
