Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Progress are proud to work closely with the Armed Forces and their families by recognising the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business and to our country. We will seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by publicising these commitments as shown through our Progress values and throughout our website.
We are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation supporting the employment of veterans. Progress consider military skills and qualifications in our recruitment and selection process and acknowledge any additional employment support that is needed. This support extends to Service spouses and partners by offering flexibility during and after a partner’s deployment where possible.
At Progress we believe in wellbeing at work offering emotional support and advice to all our staff. This includes additional leave for annual Reserve Forces training, supporting any mobilisations and deployment.
Progress are committed to the Armed Forces Covenant, so if you are a veteran, military reservist or thinking about leaving the armed forces, please visit our website for further information.
About us
We are an established provider of specialist services for children and young adults from 0-25, who have disabilities and specialist needs. This encompasses a fostering agency, residential homes, supported living, a range of short break solutions, home and community support, preparation for independence and much more. As a values-led, family-owned business, we are not prepared to compromise on the quality and safety of our services, which are delivered following our owner’s ethos; ‘if it is not good enough for your own family, it is not good enough for our customers’.
We pride ourselves on enabling a more ordinary life to be experienced through extra-ordinary service delivery, with the people we support being the heart of everything we do.
We are passionate about developing our staff and their individual careers. We secured the Gold Investors in People Award, with 84% of staff agreeing we are ‘developing great leaders.’
