Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

  • Promoting the Armed Forces: promoting the fact that we are an Armed Forces-friendly organisation, to our staff, clients and wider public;
  • Service Spouses & Partners: supporting the employment of Service spouses and partners; partnering with the Forces Families Jobs Forum; and offering a degree of flexibility in granting leave for Service spouses and partners before, during and after a partner’s deployment. Providing a Guaranteed Interview Scheme for spouses of currently serving personnel;
  • Reserves & Cadet Organisations: supporting our employees who are members of the Reserve Forces; granting 2 weeks additional unpaid leave for annual Reserve Forces training; supporting any mobilisations and deployment; actively encouraging members of staff to become Reservists & Cadet organisation leaders;
  • National Events: supporting Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, the Poppy Appeal Day and Remembrance activities;
  • Armed Forces Charities: supporting Armed Forces charities with fundraising and supporting staff who volunteer to assist;
  • Commercial Support: offering a 5% discount on hourly care to veterans of the Armed Forces.

About us

Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry has been a valued organisation in the local community since 2008 when it was started by Dr Hannah MacKechnie & Alex Green, after realising there was a real need for high quality care services in the area.

With 40 Care Professionals in the team and around 70 clients at any one time, Radfield Home Care provides a wide range of domiciliary care to clients in the local community around Shrewsbury and surrounding areas, from Companionship visits to complex, End of Life care.
