Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
Our Trust has been working hard to join the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance and in turn become a Veterans Aware hospital. We have implemented systems and processes that allow us to tailor our care to unique circumstances of this important group of patients.
We are also Gold members of the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. This allows us to give even more support to the military reservists in their reserve service and help those leaving the regular services to find jobs in the NHS.
If you or a member of your family volunteer with any military organisations including cadets or are a reservist we want to hear from you. The organisation wants to strengthen our relationship with the armed forces and are currently working towards achieving gold accreditation, which will offer our staff more support to have time to participate in these organisations.
