Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant
In signing the Armed Forces Covenant, we have pledged to support the Armed Forces and have been open to training and employing reservists, armed forces veterans, cadet instructors and military spouses / partners.
We support the reservists which we employ through a variety of methods. Every three months we hold an internal staff voice and hold 1-to-1 meetings to establish what support they may need. We understand that demobilisation may be a difficult time with a reservist returning to work after a challenging deployment. We will take into consideration the need for reasonable time off to seek therapeutic treatment and the need for specific refresher training where needed.
We do not currently employ military spouses or partners. However, we can grant special leave to our Reservists around periods of deployment, mobilisation and demobilisation allowing them to spend time with their spouse / partner. Should we have the opportunity to employ a military spouse / partner, we would support them where required by granting additional leave to be with their serving partner / spouse when home pre-deployment and post-deployment.
